Our History

The Family Medicine Foundation of West Virginia was founded on October 7, 1982. It is a charitable Foundation recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt organization and thereby able to receive grants, tax deductible gifts, and contributions. We hope you will consider your Foundation when memorial gifts, trusts, and tax exempt giving is in your plan for 2006.

Our Mission

It is the mission of the Family Medicine Foundation of West Virginia to enhance health care delivered to the people of West Virginia by:

	Supporting some goals and selected projects of the WV Chapter AAFP
	Developing and providing philanthropic resources for the promotion and support of the specialty of Family Practice; and
	Bringing together Family Practice organizations to coordinate activities and maximize resources.
